I Portali

Coima SGR SpA / ACPV Architects

The eastern building accommodates private offices across 24 floors, reaching a height of approximately 104 meters, while the western building houses private offices across 14 floors and a mezzanine, reaching a height of around 67 meters. Part of Porta Nuova Gioia urban regeneration project, the world's first urban area to attain LEED and WELL certifications prioritizing people's well-being, the new towers are designed to meet post-pandemic workplace needs and comply with EU852/2020 regulations for climate mitigation. They aim for top environmental and social sustainability standards, including LEED Platinum, WELL Gold, and WiredScore Platinum certifications. The façade showcases spacious window openings enveloping the entire complex, allowing abundant natural light to permeate the building. It will also feature over 3,000 photovoltaic glass sheets, generating one million kilowatts of clean energy annually. Innovative building management systems contribute to a 60% reduction in water and energy consumption. The project will be fossil fuel-free, aligning carbon dioxide emissions with EU 2050 objectives. Over 65% of the towers' electricity will come from renewable sources. Integrating seamlessly into Milan's mobility infrastructure, the project offers a direct pathway from the MM Gioia metro station to the retail areas on the ground floor and the office floors above.
