IED locations currently scattered throughout Milan will consolidate into a new facility with a distinctive design. This facility will incorporate classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and amenities to serve around 5,000 individuals, including staff, students, and professors. Spanning 30,000 square meters within a park, the site will undergo extensive revitalization to meet top-tier environmental and social sustainability criteria. The project aims to rejuvenate the previously neglected area, fostering a vibrant community environment. The forthcoming IED headquarters will be situated in two expansive twin pavilions located farther north. The European Institute of Design, renowned for its global presence in design, fashion, visual arts, and communication training and research, has opted to centralize its dispersed city offices within the ex-Macello area boundary. This move is aimed at enhancing training opportunities and bolstering competitiveness on an international scale. Alongside the two iconic pavilions, the IED Campus will incorporate a newly erected structure at its northern periphery.
