The SeiMilano green lung project, with its geometric plot aims to recompose the rural landscape in a succession of waterways, ditches, tree-lined rows, vegetable gardens and urban orchards, together with plants with high CO2 absorption. The project includes 523 homes accommodating 1,100 residents and integration of smart solutions. The main objective of SeiMilano is to create a residential park accessible to the public for sports and leisure activities, while also incorporating various functions outlined in the plan. These functions are distributed along two key urban routes on the northern and eastern borders, preserving the greenery of the park. The central axis of the development, running along the north-south route, serves as the core of the project, linking residential, tertiary, and commercial spaces. Meanwhile, the boulevard along the northern end connects with the existing urban fabric. The residential area comprises 20 volumes with square bases positioned on different alignments and planes of rotation to create a diverse architectural composition and optimize views of the park. The residences are categorized into three typologies: loggia, terraced, and greenhouse/bow windows, each contributing to the aesthetic and morphological variety of the neighborhood. The design language of the residences draws inspiration from Milanese rationalist architecture, incorporating linear and essential elements to define a contemporary aesthetic.
