Located at 2,667 meters in the rugged Marmarole mountain range, this alpine shelter embodies the duality of exploration and refuge. The design magnifies the perception of space, inviting occupants to immerse themselves in the expansive landscape while providing a protective haven. The interior features a wooden structure that softens the harshness of the environment, while layers of fiberglass form a resilient shell that mimics the rugged terrain. Its rough- hewn volume appears to hover above a cliff, extending into the void and visually framing breathtaking scenery. The structure adapts to the Marmarole's orography, organizing its internal space along a longitudinal axis that connects the site to the Auronzo valley. Ultimately, this alpine retreat invites visitors to lose themselves in the landscape while discovering their own place within it, striking a delicate balance between human needs and the grandeur of nature.
